Arkell Museum art program scheduled

CANAJOHAIRE — Seascapes will be the focus of the free Arkell Museum Summer Afternoon Family Art program from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the museum, 2 Erie Blvd.

Each Wednesday participants visit the gallery to learn about an artist and an art style and then go to a classroom to practice that style.

At the July 24 session, participants will explore Winslow Homer’s seascapes in the Night Watch Gallery and use textured and patterned papers to create seascapes.

Children from pre-kindergarten and up are welcome, but children under 10 require family supervision.

For more information, call Mary Alexander, curator of education and public engagement, (518) 673-2314, Ext. 113.
