Three promoted in Army National Guard

ALBANY –Three area men have been promoted as members of the New York Army National Guard by Maj. Gen. Ray Shields, the adjutant general for the State of New York.

They are Jordan Monette of Gloversville, assigned to the Company C, 2-108th Infantry, promoted to specialist; Stephen Levesque of Amsterdam, assigned to the Company A, 1-224th Aviation Security and Support Battalion, promoted to staff sergeant; and Alexander Vroman of Canajoharie, assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-108th Infantry, promoted to private first class.

The promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.
