Family history workshop slated

ALBANY — The Capital Region Jewish Genealogical Society and Knesseth Israel Synagogue invite those interested to a family history workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Knesseth Israel Synagogue, 34 E. Fulton St., Gloversville, according to a news release.

The volunteer members of CRJGS will present a brief introduction to genealogy research followed by a workshop.

The CRJGS brings its experience and expertise to guide participants with their research. Those attending are to bring information on names, dates and locations of their relatives.

The workshop will include one-on-one assistance searching online databases. Anyone who uses a laptop or tablet for research, can feel free to bring it along. The CRJGS can help set up accounts on Ancestry, FamilySearch and/or JewishGen.

Refreshments will be served.
