Tide Pool Tuesday at Amsterdam library

AMSTERDAM — Tide Pool Tuesday study of shallow water ocean fish will be held on Tuesday at the Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church St.

∫ At 10:30 a.m., participants will learn about shallow ocean reefs and the creatures that live there. What does the ocean do for us? Why is it important that we keep our oceans clean?

Included will be information about the newest residents: the Percula Clownfish (Amphiprion percula) and starfish (Asterina sp) and their families (Damsel fish and Echinoderms) as well as our aquatic plants: brown and green algae and how they work together to keep their home clean.

∫ Noon, LEGO Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis and open LEGO build will occur.

∫ Also at noon, the new DC movie Aquaman will be shown in the classroom.
