Social Security program planned
GALWAY — The Galway Public Library will be hosting a free Social Security retirement information program at 6 p.m. March 27 for pre-retirees wanting to make a more informed claiming decision, according to a news release.
The topics to be covered will include:
∫ When should one collect benefits.
∫ To understand the new Social Security rules.
∫ Learn how to eliminate the guesswork.
∫ How to avoid critical filing mistakes.
Since 2014, the one-hour program entitled, “Social Security Made Easy” has gained wide spread recognition across the Upstate New York region in an effort to help attendees better prepare for their transition into retirement.
The program is being offered as a community service by Retirement Solutions. The seating is limited and advance registration is required. To RSVP, call the library at (518) 882-6385.
