Library to display artwork through February

FONDA — The Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., is displaying the artwork of Shirley Jacobs in the art gallery during the month of February, according to a news release.

She has interests in woodcarving, writing poetry, crocheting, participating in powwows, playing the native flute, and Native Indian crafts.

Jacobs has taken art courses at the University at Albany, and woodcarving through Scotia-Glenville adult education and the Mohawk Valley Woodcarvers. She has completed native courses in drum making and pine basket making.

Stop in to view this exhibit during regular library hours during the month.
