Bannertown seniors to meet Wednesday

MAYFIELD — The Bannertown 50 Plus Seniors met on Jan. 2, for their social, luncheon and meeting day.

The devotion “The Lord walks beside me” was read by Evie Leach, chaplain. “The Lord’s Prayer” was said. The Office for the Aging luncheon was then served.

The meeting was opened by the new President Carl Edwards. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Nancy Hayes, the new vice president read the roll call and everyone welcomed two new members.

Ann Mallin, sunshine chairman had nothing to report.

Lorrie Valk, secretary, and Joan Bezio, treasurer gave their reports and were accepted.

Kathy Leggerio has set up a Facebook page. For more information about the club, open the Mayfield Bannertown 50 Plus Seniors page.

Edwards reminded everyone of the area to park in because the firemen need access to the back lot.

At the next meeting on Wednesday, bring something old to show or to talk about. The cookie committee for that day will be Edwards and Bezio.

The meeting adjourned and the drawings were held. The winners were Bezio, the door prize and the 50-50; and Joan Decker, $1. All of the winnings were donated back to the club.

New Year’s trivia was played.
