Color Run returns to Broadalbin-Perth

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin-Perth Color Run returns Oct. 6 as part of the district’s annual homecoming festivities.

This year’s event, which features a one-mile kids fun run and a 5k race, will take place on the new nature trail and cross country course at the high school. The district will award prizes to the top finishers, according to a news release.

The registration for the kids fun run costs $15, and registration for the 5k costs $20. Each registration packet includes a B-P water bottle, bib, color packet, and temporary tattoos.

Registration ends on Oct. 4.

Participants can pick up their registration packets from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at the high school main office, or starting at 7:30 a.m. on race day.

Registration is not required for kids ages 3 years old and younger.

While strollers are welcome, participants should be aware that the course is not paved and should plan accordingly.

The event will also feature a Bounce House for children, and food will be available for purchase, including soup, chili and snacks.

The race proceeds will support Broadalbin-Perth Central School District’s new backpack program, which provides food for struggling families in the district each weekend throughout the school year.
