Food pantry is in need of donations

GLOVERSVILLE — The following is for the Senior Citizen Service Center of Gloversville and Fulton County, 53 Church St.

Today: 50-55 Plus Club meeting and activities, 1 p.m.

Tuesday: Tuesday Breakfast Program and coffee hour — $3 donation (cream of wheat, fried eggs, toast, fruit), 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Wednesday Noontime Vittles Program — $3 donation (baked ham, scalloped potatoes, fresh vegetables, homemade orange cake), noon.

Thursday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; free bread pass out, 10 a.m.

Friday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Writers Circle, 11 a.m.

Saturday: Breakfast Nook Program — $3 donation (scrambled eggs, English muffins, sausages, fruit, 9 a.m. Relax Labor Day with a friend.

Sept. 3: Open art class, 9 a.m.; free bread pass out and coffee hour, both 9:30 a.m.;

The center needs the following.

∫ The center needs volunteers for office, planning events, activities and helping in the kitchen with meals. All ages are welcome. Anyone interested in volunteering for a few hours a day, week or month can stop by or call the center for further details.

∫ The food pantry is low and the center seeks new non-perishable food items for area seniors.
