Johnstown Midsummer Concert Series to feature several guest performers

JOHNSTOWN — Our Secret Love Society will perform for the new Johnstown Midsummer Concert Series from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the bandshell on West Main Street.

In the event of rain, the concert will take place inside St. John’s Episcopal Church, which is next to the bandshell.

Thursday’s free concert will also include an art show in the park, featuring work by David D’Amore and Patrick Corsi both of Johnstown, and Heather Shalhoub of Gloversville, with the help of the Downtown Johnstown Business and Professional Association.

The following additional concerts are planned at the same times on consecutive Thursday evenings:

∫ July 26: Jazz guitarist and vocalist Miche Fambro.

∫ Aug. 2: Sam Whedon and The Unbelievers.

∫ Aug. 9: Annie and The Hedonists.

Saratoga Arts made this program possible with a Community Arts Grant funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the State Legislature. Dozens of individuals also have made private contributions to help get this new program off the ground.
