North Country Music Awards seeks singers

The North Country Music Awards is searching for singers who want to advance their career in the field of country music, according to a news release.

The contestants, which is open to all ages, will be prequalified through auditions, recordings and videos. The top 10 finalists will be given an opportunity to perform on Aug. 29, at the Schaghticoke Fair, Rensselaer County. They will be competing in front of a panel of talent agents, recording artists, country fans and recording studio producers, the news release stated.

The winners will be receiving a free $1,000 studio recording and radio interview, with promotion to country radio stations, and an invitation to perform at other NCMA sponsored events, the news release stated.
