Bag program to benefit museum

AMSTERDAM — The Walter Elwood Museum, a non-profit committed to the history of the Mohawk Valley and Amsterdam area heritage, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Cause Bag program, which is designed to support local non-profits through the sale of the reusable Hannaford Helps bag.

The museum was selected by the Hannaford store leadership as the November beneficiary at the Amsterdam store. For every Hannaford Helps reusable bag purchased at the Amsterdam Hannaford during November, the museum will receive a $1 donation.

“We are so pleased and honored to have been selected by Hannaford for this program” said Walter Elwood Museum Executive Director Ann M. Peconie. “The financial support of Hannaford and its shoppers allows us to continue our mission.”
