Organ variety concert slated

PALATINE BRIDGE — The Trinity Lutheran Church of Stone Arabia, 5426 State Route 10 north, will host an organ variety concert at 7 p.m. Friday. The program will feature organists, Dr. Eric Stroud of the Upstate Chapel, Canajoharie, and Roberta Rowland-Raybol. Sid Chase, organ curator, will operate the original hand pump on the 1901 Morey Pipe organ, according to a news release

The vocalists will be the Rev. Mark Fowler, Paul and Jeannette Kling, and Irena Garin and Connie Chamberlain. The instrumentalists will be Jan Cronkhite on saxophone; Fred Traudt on cornet; and Norma Bowley and Castine Hardesty on piano. Glen Bentz will provide a glimpse of history, the news release stated.

The selections included will be from “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Annie,” the Civil War era and classical music.

A free-will offering will go toward roof repair. Refreshments will be provided, the news release stated.
