Railfest planned for Aug. 7; was canceled in 2020 due to COVID
GLOVERSVILLE — The Gloversville Recreation Commission will present the 15th annual Railfest from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 7, with fireworks at dusk at the Trail Station Park, according to a news release.
The following will be the events.
∫ There will be more than 50 vendors from foods trucks/vendors, arts and crafts, local businesses and non-profits.
∫ The live music will fill the park in two separate locations — one under the gazebo in Trail Station Park and the other on the main stage in the Transit lot.
∫ The other attractions will include bounce houses, a mechanical bull, raffles, bicycle auction, hot dog eating contest, jumbo yard games.
∫ The Gloversville Senior Center will hold a car, truck and motorcycle show from noon to 3 p.m. on West Fulton Street. The fee to register is $10 with all proceeds benefiting the senior center.
The entry into the event is free and all funds raised by the Recreation Commission will benefit improvements to the newly expanded portion of Elk Street Park.

∫ From 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Stump City Project.
∫ From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle.
∫ From 1:45 to 3 p.m. Miss Railfest Pageant.
∫ From 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. the Phoenix Belly Dance.
∫ From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. WonWorld.
∫ From 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Rough-n-Real Band.
∫ From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Perfect Landing.
