GLOVERSVILLE — The Glove Theatre is hosting its annual children production again and is holding open auditions for the cast of Fiddler on the Roof JR. Kids, ages 4 through 18, are encouraged to participate in the walk-in casting call and show off their talents.
Although principal roles will be reserved for children ages 12 and older, all children who audition will be highlighted in the production.
Auditions begin on Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. and will run until 5 p.m. at the Glove Theatre, 42 N Main St. Rehearsals will take place from Aug. 3 to 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.in preparation of five total shows. Opening night will be on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 will both offer matinee and evening shows, beginning at 2 and 7 p.m. respectively.
To have your child audition, please bring a completed audition form and a photo of your child, as well as prepare a 30-45 second verse and/or chorus of a song of their choosing to sing onsite. Main St, and the Glove Theatre, 42 N. Main St.
The 2021 Children Production will be directed by Michael Maricondi, and done in partnership with the Glove Theatre and Saratoga Arts. Saratoga Arts made this program possible with a Community Arts Grant funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
