Historical society selected as beneficiary
The Fulton County Historical Society has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of January 2021.
The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in April 2014, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
The Fulton County Historical Society (FCHS) was selected as the January beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hannaford located in Gloversville. The FCHS will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during January.
“The FCHS is honored to be selected to participate in the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program,” said Samantha Hall-Saladino, Executive Director of the FCHS. “The Society is working on a reopening plan for 2021 that will allow us to safely invite visitors back into our historic 1900 building for programs, events, and regular self-guided tours. We are also dedicated to continuing our outreach and are excited to explore new digital initiatives that will combine both in-person and virtual interaction. This donation will help us as we move ahead into the next year and beyond.”
The Fulton County Historical Society is a non-profit based in Gloversville.
