Excellent students

Nicole Dettenrieder, principal of the Wheelerville Union Free School, has announced the February students of the month. Teachers nominate a student based on their positive character traits, leadership and citizenship. Northville Central Schools Elementary Principal Tammy Reidell honored the school's February students of the month with a celebratory breakfast Friday. Each student was nominated by their classroom teacher for personifying the character trait of fairness. Students received an honorary certificate from the Northville Parent-Teacher Organization and enjoyed their special meal with invited friends and family members. Northville's kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th day of school Tuesday with crowns proudly proclaiming each student to be 100 days smarter. Angela Stanyon's students tried to imagine what things will be like when they turn 100 years old, and several kids dressed and accessorized accordingly.
