Area businesses and individuals honored at annual ‘Cheers to Business’ celebration

MAYFIELD — Several area businesses and individuals were honored during the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce annual event “Cheers to Business! — A Celebration of Business, Collaboration and Progress,” held at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts in Gloversville on Friday.

More than 200 guests at the event, called “the region’s premier celebration of business, collaboration and progress” by the Chamber, were treated to cocktails, entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, cuisine stations, dessert, and fundraising raffles.

Proceeds will support the Chamber’s mission of improving the region’s business climate, economy and quality of life.

Spraker Tourism Partner Award, given to Crystal Grove Diamond Mine & Campground of St. Johnsville; Thomas B. Constantino Entrepreneurial Award given to Dr. Mark Will of Glove Cities Veterinary Hospital of Gloversville; Young Professional of the Year Award given to Kelly Montanye of Mayfield; Agricultural Business of the Year given to Creek’s Edge Elk Farm & Crum Creek CSA of St. Johnsville; Edward L. Additional Awards were presented by the FMS Workforce Development Board, to their businesses of the year. The Montgomery County award went to Dollar General Distribution Center; and their Fulton County award went to CG Roxane LLC.
