Demolition day

Demolition of 211 and 213 N. Main St. in Gloversville was underway on Thursday. A rear wall of 211 N. Main St. partially collapsed on May 30 and in order to demolish the privately owned building the city determined it would be necessary to raze the neighboring county owned building at 213 N. Main St. at the same time. The city aqcuired the properties for a fee of $1 each and contracted Jackson Demolition to tear down both structures. (The Leader-Herald/Ashley Onyon)
