∫ Halloween warming station at North Main street United Methodist Church, 316 N. Main St., in Gloversville. Warm drinks, hot chocolate and cider will be offered along with candy and snacks for the children. The event is free to all neighborhood children and their parents. ∫ Trunk or Treat hosted by the Gloversville Free Methodist Church at the city’s farmer’s market pavilion on Elm Street, 6 to 8 p.m. Games, music and candy. No scary or inappropriate costumes will be permitted due to the family-friendly nature of the event.

∫ Grow Amsterdam presents: “Pumpkin Smash: Don’t trash it; smash it” at Veterans Memorial Field, Locust Ave. Amsterdam, 1 to 4 p.m. The event aims to help divert pumpkins from the landfill. Guests can smash their pumpkins themselves or drop them off. Hay bales will be accepted too. Guests are asked to remove decorations and candles prior to drop off.
