Known changes for area trick or treaters
The following are some of the changes in trick or treat schedules due to inclement weather predicted for Thursday:
BROADALBIN — In view of impending inclement weather, the Broadalbin Village Board has moved Trick-or-Treat from Halloween night to Saturday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the evening. Residents who wish to participate should leave their porch lights on.
Gloversville — In the city, due to the forecast of rain, trick or treating will be both tonight and Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Also, the second Annual Trunk or Treat at the Elm Street Pavilion. No scary or inappropriate costumes are permitted as this an event for everyone to enjoy. If you want to participate and decorate your car , call the Free Methodist Church office at (518) 752-5270.
AMSTERDAM — Amsterdam’s trick or treating on the MVGO has been moved to today from 5 to 6:30 p.m. due to inclement weather.
MINDEN — The fourth annual South Minden Trunk or Treat at the South Minden Fire Station, 1029 Route 163 in Fort Plain, has been moved to Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
MAYFIELD — Halloween trick or treating in the village will be on Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. regardless of weather.
CANAJOHARIE — Due to the predicted heavy rain forecast for Thursday, the villages of Canajoharie and Palatine Bridge, along with the Halloween parade is being moved to tonight. Trick or treating is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and parade is at 7 p.m.
FORT PLAIN — The Fort Plain Fire Department annual Halloween parade is canceled, however it will be hosting an open house at the station from 5 to 6 p.m. Trick or treating will remain the same for the village of Fort Plain, Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
