Women’s wellness conference slated
JOHNSTOWN — HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, will conduct its 23rd annual women’s wellness conference titled “Images of a Woman” on Wednesday, July 31, at Holiday Inn, 308 N. Comrie Ave. (Route 30A).
Again this year, two sessions are being offered to accommodate all women who may want to participate. They can choose to attend from noon to 2:30 p.m. or 6 to 8:30 p.m. Doors will open an hour before each session for complimentary hors d’oeuvres, chair massages, reflexology, healing touch, reiki, and a photo fun booth. Vendors and raffle prizes will also be offered, followed by a buffet.
“Treat yourself, an employee, coworker, friend, relative, or loved one to this special event that focuses on women’s health and wellness,” said Tammy Merendo, a registered nurse and Littauer’s director of community education. “This year’s keynote, ‘BEING FEMALE: Blessed, Quixotic, Funny, Fierce, And…HUNGRY!’ will be presented by Ann M. Thane, an artist, wife, mom, adventurer and former mayor.”
“Join us an Ann shares her experiences regarding self-discovery, empowerment, femininity, food, family and faith. We’re all girls…let’s have a healthy laugh about our common sins and aspirations,” she added.
A fee of $35 payable by July 24 at HealthLink will reserve a space. For more information, call HealthLink Littauer at (518) 736-1120.
