JOHNSTOWN — The Glove Cities Rotary Club presented the fifth annual Mark “Doc” Crandall Community Service Award to Ron and Patricia Robinson of Johnstown for their volunteer efforts with Johnson Hall Historic Site and the Fulmont Roadrunners Club, among others.

The award was presented at a recent luncheon meeting of the club held at the Johnstown Holiday Inn.

The Rotary Club created the award in 2015 to honor the memory of Doc Crandall’s life of service to others and to express their appreciation for the work of others in the community. Crandall was a rotarian for more than 50 years and in his honor, the club presents a member of the community with an award to recognize the person’s contribution to life in Fulton County.

The award is accompanied by a donation of $1,000 to the recipient’s charity of choice. The Robinsons choose to split their award between the two organizations they volunteer with.
