Photo submitted Gaming Insomniacs League, an eSports organization comprised of high school, collegiate, pro, and semi-pro leagues hosted a $5,000 scholarship tournament on May 19 for high school students at Proctors Theatre. The event featured 16 high schools each with teams of five who competed head-to-head in Call of Duty Black Ops. Many of the teams featured semi-pro and pro players from the area representing their schools. Representing Amsterdam High School were Damian Montalvo, Daniel Montalvo Jr., Cuba Fernandez, Orlondo Rodriguez, Romeo Cruz and Tyler Louck. Amsterdam's team placed fourth in the tournament. Senior Orlondo Rodriguez was offered a semi-pro position with the league.
