Demers promoted

NORTH EAST, Md. — The Cecil College has promoted Amanda R. Demers, a native of Gloversville, to director of library services, according to a news release.

Demers, who has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Hartwick College and a master’s degree in library and information science from Syracuse University, began the career at the college in 2016 as a part-time adjunct librarian and elevated to librarian of acquisitions and cataloging, the news release stated.

Demers and husband Michael live in Delaware, Md., the news release stated.
