Opera at the Orchard scheduled

JOHNSTOWN — The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Hometown Association will present Opera at the Orchard, a fundraising event to benefit its Sunflower Shoppe from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Rogers Family Orchards, 260 Country Road 131, according to a news release.

The artists from Seagle Music Colony, the oldest summer vocal training program in the United States, will sing opera and musical theater favorites, while Anna Ilnicki Catering will serve tacos. Rogers Cideryard will be open, selling their signature hard cider, along with wine and beer selections, the news release stated.

The tickets to the performance are $30 each and include two tacos and chips and salsa. This event is rain or shine. All are invited to this afternoon of music and food, the news release stated.

The ECSHA is dedicated to advancing the economic, political and social status of women and girls, the news release stated.

Main St.: It’s an all-volunteer community outreach project which assists women entering the job market for the first time or re-entering the labor force to find quality, affordable clothing to help them move toward economic independence.
