FM student recognition dinner slated for Monday
JOHNSTOWN — The third annual student recognition dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, by Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services at the HFM BOCES Conference Center, 2755 Route 67.
More than 50 outstanding seniors from high schools in the HFM region will be honored.
Honorees were selected to attend this awards dinner by their districts to recognize academic and personal achievements during the students’ high school careers. High schools nominating students for recognition include Amsterdam, Broadalbin-Perth, Canajoharie, Fonda-Fultonville, Fort Plain, Gloversville, HFM Pathways in Technology Early College High School, Johnstown, Mayfield, Northville, Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, and Wells.
During event, each student will be individually recognized and awarded a certificate before an audience of school representatives, invited family members and other guests. Student biographies will be available at the event.
Having been continually impressed by the academic and extracurricular excellence seen in the region’s students, FMCC and HFM BOCES worked in partnership in 2016 to establish the student recognition dinner, according to a news release. Along with top students from high schools in the region and the HFM BOCES Career and Technical Center, school districts are allowed to select students who they feel should be recognized.
