Suicide talk slated for May 31

JOHNSTOWN — Craig Miller, an author, speaker and suicide-attempt survivor, will talk on “This is How it Feels,” a discussion about suicide, for an 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. luncheon on May 31, at Johnstown Holiday Inn, Route 30A, sponsored by the Mental Health Association of Fulton and Montgomery Counties.

For years Miller struggled with obsessive-compulsive disorder, extreme anxiety and suicidal thoughts, according to a news release. After a suicide attempt at age 20, he became dedicated to understanding what led him to such a decision and how he could gain control of himself so it would never happen again.

His book, “This is How it Feels: a memoir of attempting suicide and finding life,” was published in 2016.

Ticket cost $15 per person. To reserve a space, call (518) 762-5332, Ext. 100.
