Voter registration underway
GALWAY — Absentee ballots are available to registered voters of the Galway Central School District who will not be able to vote on Election Day – May 16.
An absentee ballot application must be submitted before a ballot can be issued. The application is available on the District’s website at www.galwaycsd.org or by contacting District Clerk, Linda Casatelli at email@example.com or (518) 882-1033.
Completed applications must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.
Once the completed application is received and reviewed by the district clerk, an absentee ballot will be issued. Completed ballots must be received by the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Election Day, May 16.
You must be registered in order to vote in this election. If you are interested in registering, voter registration will take place on May 2 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the office of Casatelli, located in the junior/senior high school building at 5317 Sacandage Road. You can also register with your local Board of Elections office.
