St. Mary’s welcomes new primary care provider

AMSTERDAM – St. Mary’s Healthcare recently welcomed Melissa Greenhalgh, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, to its network of experienced primary care providers.

Greenhalgh will be joining Dr. Michael Sheridan, Dr. Megan Sumigray, Dr. John Fedullo, Cheryl Sparks, ANP and Chelsea Centurioni, PA at the St. Mary’s Memorial Health Center located on the Memorial Campus in Amsterdam. 

With extensive experience working at the beside in specialties including colorectal and urology, Greenhalgh is eager to share her special interest in Family Medicine with the Amsterdam community as she joins the St. Mary’s network of providers. Greenhalgh’s approach to Family Medicine is based on developing strong relationships in order to provide personalized care to meet each patient’s specific needs.

Most recently, Greenhalgh shared these comments about joining the St. Mary’s family, “What interests me the most about working within the St. Mary’s community is their dedication and compassion for the community,'” Greenhalgh said in a news release. “Also, their support for their associates allows for the opportunity to grow and have a successful career.”

Greenhalgh is a graduate of the Sage Colleges of Albany, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing from Utica College. Greenhalgh’s experience includes working in a variety of capacities in the medical field for close to a decade.

Furthering her connection to the community, Greenhalgh lives locally and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
