Valentine’s Day party on Feb. 13

TRIBES HILL — The Tribes Hill Iroquois Seniors meeting of Jan. 2, was called to order at 11 a.m. with a social hour hosted by Barb Lampkin, Cheri Meyers and Barb Minch.

Chaplain Barbara Furman opened the meeting with a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and a reading called “Greet each day with gladness.”

The roll was taken with 19 members present.

President Sherry Meyers announced the January birthdays: Minch was Jan. 4; Elaine Hoyt, Jan. 12; Pam Jasewicz, Jan. 16; Ruth Lohnmeyer, Jan. 20; and Bill Lampkin, Jan. 23.

The minutes were read by Pam Jasewicz and were approved.

The treasurer’s report was read by Barbara Lampkin.

Furman said the Medicare ads on television are being promoted by insurance companies and not Medicare.

Trip: Barbara Lampkin may be planning something for March; the information will be coming soon.

Sunshine: Get well cards were sent to members.

Social: The Valentine party will be Feb. 13. Everyone is to bring a sandwich and the group will be playing bingo.

Communication: Thank you cards were received from members.

Unfinished business: The group had their Christmas party at the Raindancer.

New business: There are many things going on at the Fort Hunter Museum. The first Monday of each month through April will be Museum Monday programs.

The meeting adjourned.

Furman did the closing prayer, “The Lord’s Prayer.”
