Christmas party to take place Wednesday

CAROGA LAKE — The Nick Stoner Seniors attended a tea party on Nov. 22 at the Wheelerville Union Free School to meet their fifth-grade pen pals. Janice McCloughlin is the committee chairman for the pen pal program.

The club furnished homemade cookies and the class provided hot chocolate and tea and crackers and cheese and fruit platter.

The next meeting for the Nick Stoner Seniors will be Tuesday when the group will have its Christmas party. Everyone should bring a dish of food for the buffet. Jean Griffin, Martha Mongato, Barbara McFee and Dottie Richeson are on the committee for the party. Instead of exchanging gifts this year, it was decided for everyone to bring a non-perishable item for the North Bush Church pantry.
