Trip to Gavin’s in the Catskills Nov. 12

PERTH — The Perth Seniors had its meeting on Oct. 22. A prayer and a moment of silence was ordered by Dottie Richeson. The prayer was given, “A prayer for strength.” “The Lord’s Prayer” and the Pledge of Allegiance were said. There were 22 in attendance.

The 50-50 raffle was won by Kathy Haff.

The Christmas party will be Dec. 11, at Nicolino’s.

The birthday was announced — Audrey Flint.

The secretary’s report was given by Roseanne Matthews.

Diane Rozdolski gave the treasurer’s report and was accepted as read.

Wanda Crosbie gave the kitchen and membership reports.

Fran Smith gave the sunshine report.

Trip report: On Nov. 12, to Gavin’s in the Catskills, Greene County, for dinner and music.

The correspondence report was given by Grace Bevington Eglin, who discussed elderly homes in Amsterdam.

The old business report was given by Haff, who discussed the McDonald’s coupon books the group is selling at the cost of $6 each.

New business: The audit report was done by three people.

The new officers were elected.

A representative from Avon will be at the center on Nov. 13.

The next Fulton County Council meeting will be Dec. 17, at the Johnstown Senior Center.
