Dec. 12 Christmas party for seniors

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Senior Citizens Club met at noon Nov. 13, at the Broadalbin Presbyterian Church with 70 members and three guests present.

A prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were performed and lunch was served.

The meeting was called to order by President Toni Hallenbeck and the roll call was called out. The last meeting minutes were announced by Nancy Weiss, secretary. Jennifer Gilston, treasurer, read the treasury report.

Karen Marion, program chairman, announced Broadalbin-Perth Middle School will be having their holiday luncheon at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 13. The students will perform holiday music for entertainment.

Marion requested members save their Christmas cards and bring them in January to be recycled and sent to active troops next year.

A signup sheet for the club’s annual pizza party of Jan. 22 was sent around.

The 50-50 winner was Candace Hinkle.

Christmas party committee: The annual Christmas party will be Dec. 12 at the Hotel Broadalbin.

Hallenbeck, trip committee chairman, reviewed the departure time and due dates for future trips.

The club has openings for the following 2020 trips:

May 7: “Hello Dolly” at Proctors; the cost is $77.

June 8 to 16: Scotland visiting Glasgow, Ballachulish, Isle of Skye and Loch Ness; the cost is $3,999 per person/double.

July 6 to 16: Renaissance of Culture on the Oceania Cruiseline to cruise the Baltic Sea and various ports; the cost is $6,503 per person/double.
