Bannertown seniors to meet Wednesday
MAYFIELD — The Bannertown 50 Plus Seniors meeting on Nov. 6, started out the day with their social hour.
Evie Leach, chaplain, opened the potluck luncheon with the devotion, “The Lord’s Blessing,” followed by “The Lord’s Prayer.”
President Carl Edwards opened the meeting with everyone reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Nancy Hayes, vice president, read the roll call.
Ann Mallin, sunshine chairman, sent out one get well card.
Lorrie Valk, secretary, and Joan Bezio, treasurer, gave their reports and were accepted.
The next meeting on Wednesday, will have the cookies made by Joan Decker and Charlotte Locatelli. The activity for that day will be bingo and humor.
Valk mentioned there are four spots open for the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Smokey Mountains trip in May 2020.
It was OK’d by the membership, along with the Mayfield Grange, to supply the third graders at the school with dictionaries again this year.
Edwards brought back information from the Office for the Aging Council meeting.
The meeting adjourned. The door prize was won by Edwards and Janet Betler won the 50-50. Both members donated the monies back to the club.
