Visit from the canine unit Sept.16

ST. JOHNSVILLE — The Oppenheim Seniors met Tuesday at the meeting place, Tobacco Road. The meetings are usually the first Monday but changed due to Labor Day.

The group met at 4 p.m. for a Chinese auction. Ron Custer said grace before the covered dish meal. The Pledge of Allegiance and the meeting followed.

Congratulations went to Shirley and Dick Meldrim for their 65th anniversary.

The next meeting will be Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. for bingo; at 5 p.m. with cakes by Karen Nagle and Shirley Meldrim; and at 5:30 p.m. a visit by the Fulton County Canine Unit.
