Nutrition class at city Senior Center

GLOVERSVILLE — The following are for the Senior Citizen Service Center of Gloversville and Fulton County, 53 Church St.

Today: Get out of the summer heat vittles program — $3 donation (homemade meatball subs on a roll, tossed salad, fruit, homemade pudding), noon; Gloversville 50-55 Plus Club meeting-activities, 1 p.m.; Gloversville Regional Animal Shelter class, 6 p.m.

Tuesday: Tuesday’s Breakfast Program and coffee hour — $3 donation (participant’s choice).

Wednesday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Molly Capito, nutrition Outreach coordinator for Senior Health Improvement and Nutrition Education, will be holding a nutrition class with free samples, from 11 a.m. to noon; Wednesday noontime vittles program — $3 donation (baked chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh bread, corn, homemade ginger bread), noon.

Thursday: Day at the beach with food — for more information, call the center office at (518) 725-0923, 9 a.m.; coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; free bread pass out, 10 a.m.; Girl Scout Troop 2055 meeting-activities, 6 p.m.

Friday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Writers Circle author discussion with pizza luncheon — $5 donation for lunch. Local author Heidi Sprouse will discuss the books she has written with a question and answer period, 11 a.m. — the pizza lunch will follow, noon; get out of the summer heat noontime vittles program — $3 donation (homemade tuna casserole, vegetables, fresh bread, fruit, Jell-o parfait, noon.

July 13: Breakfast Nook Program — $3 donation (homemade baked doughnuts, fried eggs on croissants, fruit, sausages), 9 a.m.

Sunday: Kingdom Revelation Worship and Mission Center service, 8 a.m.

Help is needed — the center is in need of some good volunteers. Anyone who has some time available, can signup at the center’s office.
