Naloxone training scheduled Tuesday

GLOVERSVILLE — The following are for the Senior Citizen Service Center of Gloversville and Fulton County, 53 Church St.

Today: Get out of the summer heat vittles program — $3 donation per meal (cream cheese and egg salad on roll, pretzels, fresh fruit, ice cream), noon; Gloversville 50-55 Plus Club meeting-activities, 1 p.m.; Gloversville Regional Animal Shelter class, 6 p.m.

Tuesday: Tuesday’s Breakfast Program and coffee hour — $3 donation (scrambled eggs, toast, fruit); free New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse training in the use of Naloxone. Naloxone is a drug that can be administered to an individual to reverse a suspected overdose. Any agency, company, or group interested in taking this free class can sign up by calling the center office at (518) 725-0923.

Wednesday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Senior Health Improvement and Nutrition Education presentation part three on proper nutrition — this interactive class has lots of information, 11 a.m.; Wednesday noontime vittles program — $3 donation (grilled hot dogs, potato chips, fruit, homemade chocolate cake), noon.

Thursday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; free bread pass out, 10 a.m.

Friday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Writers Circle, 11 a.m.; get out of the summer heat noontime vittles program — $3 donation per meal (homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fruit, vegetables, homemade strawberry shortcake, noon.

Saturday:

∫ Breakfast Nook Program — $3 donation (homemade fruit turnovers, scrambled eggs, toast, sausages), 9 a.m.

∫ Breakfast Nook open mic show, 10 a.m.

∫ Fulton Center carnival fundraiser for the Gloversville Senior Center at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville, noon. The event includes carnival games, food, prizes, entertainment and more. For more information, call (518) 773-3400.

Sunday: Kingdom Revelation Worship and Mission Center service, 8 a.m.
