Canajoharie seniors to meet on Aug. 2

CANAJOHARIE — The Canajoharie Senior Citizens had a bus trip to the MacHaydn Theatre on May 30, to see “Camelot.”

Also in May: The Canajoharie Elementary School 60 member choir presented a program; Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Smith discussed fraud.

The seniors played bingo following their meetings a few times. They like to have the women of Arkell Hall join them.

A number of get well cards have been sent to members.

The seniors donated to the flag display in Palatine Bridge by the Palatine Literary Society. The proceeds from the display went to the Leatherstocking Honor Flight.

On June 23, the women from Arkell joined the seniors for a musical program by Mickey Boslet.

An additional bus trip is planned for Sept. 19, to Lake George for a boat trip and lunch. The cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. If interested, contact Dorothy Frasier at (518) 673-5588 before August and September.

The seniors do not meet in July. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 2. Hot Pockets will provide the entertainment following the meeting.

All seniors 55 and over in the Canajoharie and Fort Plain School districts are invited to attend the group’s meetings.
