Turning Stone Casino trip May 21

GLOVERSVILLE — The following is for the Ida L. McGinnis Club. At both meetings: The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read; the devotions and “The Lord’s Prayer” were led by Chaplain Mary King.

April 9: The meeting was opened by President Jeannie McDuffie. The opening hymn, “How Great Thou Art” was accompanied by Helen Henry on the keyboard.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by McDuffie. The first verse of America was sung.

Hi to your Neighbors followed. There were 32 in attendance.

The 50-50 winners were Helen Henry, Roy Bishop and Ellie Ligon.

The next Turning Stone trip will be on May 21. If interested in future trips, call McDuffie at (518) 725-8396 to save a place on the bus.

April 23: The meeting was called to order by McDuffie. The opening prayer, “Amazing Grace” was accompanied by Henry.

The first verse of “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” was sung.

Secretary and treasurer reports were read and accepted.

Devotions were lead by Chaplin Mary King, who also led the group in the Lord’s Prayer.
