Hauser to cover 450 years of area sports

GLOVERSVILLE — The following are for the Senior Citizen Service Center of Gloversville and Fulton County, 53 Church St.

Today: Gloversville 50-55 Plus Club meeting/activities, 1 p.m.; Regional Animal Shelter class, 6 p.m.

Tuesday: Tuesday’s Breakfast Program and coffee hour — $3 donation (homemade hot oatmeal, toast, fruit), 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Wednesday noontime vittles program — $3 donation (homemade chicken parmesan on a roll, potato chips, fruit, homemade banana cake with cream cheese frosting), noon.

Thursday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; free bread pass out, 10 a.m.; Girl Scout Troop 2055 meeting-activities, 6 p.m.

Friday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Writers Circle, 11 a.m.; sports history talk with Mike Hauser, who will cover 450 years of local sports history. The presentation will include professional baseball, local athletes who played professionally, pro basketball, world champion snow skier and world record fish, 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Open to everyone.

Saturday: Breakfast Nook Program — $3 donation (hot scrambled eggs, toasted English muffins, sausages, fresh fruit) and pick out a free Mother’s Day card, 9 a.m. The center and Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Prevention Council are joining in the celebration of “100 in 1 Day in Gloversville” and are hosting free crafts to make and take home.

Sunday: Kingdom Revelation Worship and Mission Center service, 8 a.m.
