40th anniversary party was a success
PERTH — The Perth Seniors had their meeting on April 10. Dottie Richeson read a poem. “The Lord’s Prayer” and the Pledge of Allegiance followed. There were 28 in attendance. The 50/50 raffle was won by Virginia Stahl.
Sharon Fenstermacher gave the secretary’s report which was accepted. Diane Rozdolski gave the treasurer’s report.
Wanda Crosbie gave the kitchen report. The Sunshine Report was given by Fran Smith. Get well cards and birthday cards were sent out.
The 40th anniversary party was held at the Raindancer. Everyone had a fantastic time.
An Easter parade was slated and attendees were asked to remember their Easter bonnet. There was also be an Easter candy sale by Lynn Lasher.
A council meeting was held April 11 at the Johnstown Senior Center. If was voted on and approved for $100 for a boy and $100 for a girl senior students at the Broadalbin-Perth High School.
An Easter basket was raffled off with money going for the travel account. Sharon Fenstermacher won the basket.
Pam Jasewicz told some jokes. Town Liason Peter Betz gave an update on the town. The old Grange Hall will be torn down this year and the inside of city hall will be painted.
