Hollenbecks celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Bonnie and Larry Hollenbeck of Johnstown recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family.

The couple married Feb. 9, 1963, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Johnstown. A reception took place at the Eagles Lodge, Johnstown.

Larry Hollenbeck was a dairy farmer until 1992, when he sold his cows and started building the Hales Mills Country Club. Larry and Bonnie Hollenbeck both owned and ran the golf course until this year, when they sold it to retire and spend more time in Flagler Beach, Fla., at their winter home.

They have three children, Randy (Susan) Hollenbeck, Debra Hollenbeck (Michael Zambella), Todd (Erin) Hollenbeck; and grandchildren Heather (Mike) Strauser, R.J. Hollenbeck, Carly Brown, Shyanne Hollenbeck, Johnathan Hollenbeck and Lauren Hollenbeck.

The couple had a dinner celebration with family hosted by granddaughters Heather Strauser and Carly Brown at the Raindancer in Perth.
