FMCC to hold open house
A college open house is a unique opportunity for you to learn more about a college campus. During a campus visit, you are able to discover all the wonderful academic and student support services that a college offers, giving you the knowledge to make the best decision in choosing the college that is the best fit for you.
This is why attending an open house is so important in choosing a college. You will know if the college is the right fit for you simply by stepping foot on the college campus.
“I was so glad that I went to open house,” said Francesca Marshall from Gloversville. “I learned so much about the campus and my program. I didn’t believe it when they said I would know if the college was the right fit when I stepped foot on campus, but they were totally were.”
Now, are you ready to begin taking the next step towards your future?
If so, join us for fall open house at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Saturday. You will have the opportunity to learn about our degree and certificate programs. Financial aid professionals will be on hand so you can get answers about financial aid and the Excelsior Scholarship Program. Talk to our outstanding faculty and take a campus tour. Meet with an admissions counselor and get accepted to the college on that day. That’s right, it’s that easy. If you bring a copy of your high school transcript in a sealed envelope or copy of your GED or TASC we will accept you on the spot. You can also check the status of your application and we’ll answer any questions you may have. There will be so much to see and do while you are visiting the campus.
FM offers 38 academic programs. The AA and AS degree programs lead to two-year associate degrees that are designed for students to transfer to a four-year university as a college junior where you can complete two additional years and earn a bachelor’s degree.
FM’s associate of applied science and associate of occupational studies degrees prepare students for the workplace and are designed for employment after the two years at FM.
Our one-year certificate programs offer students the opportunity for hands-on training and classroom training to get them back into the workforce quickly. We are a two-year college with a lifetime plan. You will be able to learn about all of our academic programs at our open house.
While walking our beautiful campus, visitors will notice many upgrades to our facilities. This past summer, renovations were made to our anatomy and physiology labs, advanced manufacturing lab and our “Sym-Man” in our nursing lab in O’Connell Hall.
Visitors will also notice a beautiful new mural in the center of O’Connell Hall that portrays women in non-traditional careers.
The physical education building also underwent quite a few changes this summer that we are very excited to show off. We hope that first-time visitors and visitors that have been on campus before will enjoy seeing all the new and updated changes made to our beautiful campus.
FM’s Fall Open House begins at 10 a.m. Register today at fmcc.edu or call or text us at (518) 620-2461.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
