Buffalo Police Department moving to new headquarters

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The second-largest city police force in New York state is moving its headquarters.
Moving crews are removing furniture Monday morning from the Buffalo Police Department’s HQ on Church Street in downtown Buffalo. The department is relocating its operations a couple of blocks to the former Michael J. Dillon Memorial U.S. Courthouse on Court Street on Niagara Square.
The city’s fire department will also be headquartered at the Court Street building, located across the square from Buffalo City Hall.
The move is expected to be completed in November.
