Dolgeville athletes compete at qualifier
CICERO — Several Dolgeville athletes competed Friday at the Section III Division 2 State Qualifier at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
Cole Harlow placed third in the shot put for the Blue Devils with a throw of 47-5 1/4. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill’s Logan Wendt won with a throw of 49-9 3/4.
Dolgeville was third in the 4 x 100 relay as the team of Anthony Chromczak, Zach Carpenter, Aasin Claus and Anthony Randall posted a time of 46.26 seconds. Cazenovia won the race with a time of 45.06 seconds.
Charles Harshbarger competed in the pole vault for Dolgeville, but failed to clear a height. Morrisville-Eaton’s Dale Lake won with a height of 13-9.
For the Dolgeville girls, Emma Bilinski was fifth in the discus with a throw of 91-5. South Lewis’ Kara Schindler won the event with a throw of 105-8.
In the triple jump, Sarah George (34-1 1/2) was eighth for Dolgeville, while Ryanne Williams (31-6) was 11th. Oneida’s Juliana Cavanagh won with a leap of 36-11 1/4.
Alexis Smith placed 14th in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles for the Blue Devils with a time of 18.20 seconds. Skaneateles’ Raenah Campbell won the event with a time of 15.78 seconds.
