Hales Mills to host member-guest event

JOHNSTOWN — Hales Mills Country Club will host a member-guest tournament Sept. 16.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. The tournament will use a nine-hole scramble, nine-hole best ball and nine-hole modified alternate shot format.

The $150 per team entry free includes golf, dinner and prizes.

There also will be an optional skins game.

Sign-ups are available in the golf shop or at the clubhouse.

Hales Mills to host club championship

JOHNSTOWN — Hales Mills Country Club will host its club championship beginning Sept. 8 for its members.

The stroke play qualifying week will take place Sept. 8 to 14 with each entry costing $20.

Additional qualifying stroke play rounds may be played for $10. Participants may play as many qualifying rounds as they would like. Match play matches will begin Sept. 17 and continue through Oct. 15.

There will be a range of divisions and flights to join for regular and senior golfers.

Golfers must be a member to be eligible for the club championship.

AHS girls hoop to host golf tourney

AMSTERDAM — The Amsterdam girls basketball program will host a golf tournament fundraiser Sept. 23.

The entry fee will be $80 per player. The fee includes 18 holes of gold, a cart, breakfast, a prime rib lunch buffet, many contests/prizes and gift basket raffles.

The event will start at 8:30 a.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Amsterdam girls basketball program.
