Several area boys basketball players were among those honored at the Section II Basketball Scholar-Athlete breakfast on Sunday in Troy. Players from the Adirondack League, Central Hudson Valley League, Colonial Council, Independent Conference, Patroon Conference, Suburban Council, Wasaren League, Western Athletic Conference and Foothills Council were in attendance at the event.

Amsterdam’s Jeffrey Brennan, Broadalbin-Perth’s Glenn Buyce, Johnstown’s Noah Massey and Gloversville’s Julien Deumaga were among the Foothills Council

honorees.

From the Western Athletic Conference, Fonda-Fultonville’s Massimo DiCaprio, Mayfield’s Walker Goodemote, Canajoharie’s Isaiah Logan, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville’s Jack Brundage, Galway’s Christian Hines, Fort Plain’s Jaxson Yacowenia and Northville’s John Bace were among those honored.

Fonda-Fultonville coach Eric Wilson received the Francis ‘Dutch’ Howlan Award today at the event. The award honored his longtime dedication and service to Section II basketball.
