H.S. Wrestling Roundup: Adirondack tops Dolgeville, 45-34
BOONVILLE — Adirondack won eight of 14 weight classes on its way to a 45-34 victory over Dolgeville-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a Center State Conference wrestling match Tuesday.
Jacob Strain (99), Bryar Croniser (126), Hunter Carr (132), Connor Griffith (145) and Zachary Kraszewski (195) all won by pin for the Wildcats, while Jacob Khouri (113) and Matthew Tanner won by forfeit. Chris Webster (120) added a 4-0 decision for Adirondack over Bradley Lamphere.
Ethan Randall (170), Kyle Getman (182) and John Monk (220) all won by pin for Dolgeville-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (4-14 overall).
Jacob Null (160) won by major decision for the Blue Devils, while Cameron Jackson (138) and Mike Krasko (285) won by forfeit
There was a double forfeit at 106 pounds.

Leo J. Sammon Memorial Tournament
ILION — The Amsterdam wrestling team finished sixth Saturday at the Leo J. Sammon Memorial Tournament at Central Valley Academy.
Host Central Valley won the team title with 239 points, while Indian River (225.5) and Camden (191.5) completed the top three. Amsterdam was sixth with 123 points.
Carlos Montalvo was second at 99 points for the Rams, dropping a 9-2 decision to Central Valley’s Sixx Cook in the finals.
Amsterdam’s Nick Rodecker (145 pounds) lost by pinfall to Central Valley’s Hunter Shaut in the finals.
Daniel Montalvo (126) was third for the Rams, while Renso Montalvo (113), Brennen Rivas (120), Zachary Gillis (126) and Jacob Garcia (152) all finished fourth.
Eladio Montalvo (152) placed fifth for Amsterdam.
Saratoga Springs Tournament
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Canajoharie-Fort Plain placed 16th at the Saratoga Springs Tournament on Saturday.
Norwich won the team title with 157 points, Queensbury was second with 149 points and Niskayuna was third with 145.5 points. C-FP was 16th with 35 points.
Cody Haig (106 pounds) and Jared Bentz (126) both placed fifth for Canajoharie-Fort Plain, while Adam Oertel (113) was sixth.
PERU — Dolgeville finished fifth at the two-day Peru Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Gouverneur won the team title with 220.5 points, while host Peru was second with 188.5 points. Shenendehowa (180 points) was third, Saranac (177) was fourth and Dolgeville (157) was fifth.
Jacob Null won the 160-pound title for the Blue Devils, while Bradley Lamphere (120 pounds) and Dylan Randall (195) each finished second.
John Monk (170) and Mike Krasko (285) each placed fourth, while Ethan Randall and Kyle Getman (182) both finished fifth.
