Lady Raiders lose to North Country

SARANAC LAKE — Kayla Carder scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead North Country Community College to a 64-53 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday.

Mary Parker had 11 points, six steals and five rebounds for North Country.

DiAsia DeBoue scored 21 points to lead FMCC, which had its three-game win streak snapped. Niaimani Marshall had 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and three assists for the Lady Raiders, while McKiea Weekes had eight points and 16 rebounds.

FMCC (6-2 overall) is scheduled to host Finger Lakes Community College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
